Description:

Video is a key aspect of the explosion of popularity of Flash, from the defining characteristic of video sharing networks like YouTube, to delivering high quality branded content like NBC's 'Heroes' -- to mention only two of the wide variety of experiences that are possible with video in Flash. And now, with the release of the latest Flash Player (MovieStar, 9.0.115) and its ability to play QuickTime directly in Flash, and support for hardware accelerated playback of high-definition video, the boundaries continue to expand.

This class covers a huge portion of the ActionScript 3 code to utilize almost all features of working fluently with progressive Flash video, including all the controls that you would expect in a modern Flash video player.

By the end of this course, students will have learned a large amount of professional-grade Flash video development.
