What clients and designers need to know in order to communnicate effectively what they need from eachother to get a website off the ground.

In this 3 hour crash course, you will learn how to speak “web designer” and designers will get the low down on how to respond in a manner which will land them the job. Directed at ad execs and the designers they need, designed to help both client and vendor understand what each other want and how to deliver those messages clearly and effectively.

Who this course is for:

For Advertising Execs, or anyone in need of a web designer and web designers alike. For those who need to create vendor relationships and learn how to communicate business needs to those vendors OR you’re a start-up agency or freelancer hunting for more business. You’re looking to submit successful proposals to clients.

Introduction
Setting expectations: what you will learn in this course

Planning Your Web Site
Assessing current situation
Knowing your audience
Setting SMART objectives and goals
Defining success measurements
Determine resource requirements

Writing an RFP
This portion of the course is for clients and covers how to communicate what was defined in the planning stage in a standardized RFP format and submission to vendors.

Drafting a Response Proposal
This segment is for vendors and covers best practices for responding to RFPs and tips for successful proposals. Includes basic information architecture.

Case Study
Class will examine a real world RFP as well as three vendor responses and discuss why the successful proposal was selected.

To keep prices this low, all training is bring-your-own-laptop (we provide power and wireless internet access).
