Michelle Irving is a media artist, and international electronic music producer. Her production work, released under the moniker Granny’Ark, has appeared on the respected Zora Lanson, Interdisco, and Mutek labels. Some of this work is featured in the internationally acclaimed documentary "The Corporation" and award winning documentary "Scared Sacred." Her MA research, which was supported by the ACTLab and School of Interactive Arts and Technology at Simon Fraser University, focused on issues in laptop music performance. Michelle began using Max/MSP in 2003 to explore alternatives for live music performance and audio installation. She currently has been teaching as a sessional instructor at McMaster University and the Ontario College of Art and Design, as well as working as managing research technician at the Digital Media Studio at Guelph University.
