Franci Duran (MFA York University) is a Toronto based media artist and graphic designer who has been producing experimental documentaries since 1991. Her moving image work explores the intersection points of memory, history and technologies of inscription within a poetic framework that reveals the material presence of the analog and digital media she works in. Her work has been shown nationally and internationally, and she is an active member of the Toronto arts community. Most recently she taught typography and graphic design at the Art Institute of Toronto.
