Course Description

Maybe you've heard about Adobe Pixel Bender. Maybe you've seen some amazing demos, or browsed some of the amazing filters and special effects available on the Pixel Bender Exchange. But maybe you also don't exactly what Pixel Bender is ("what's a .pbj file vs. a .pbk file?"), or how to use Pixel Bender in Flash CS4 and CS5.

Using Pixel Bender does require ActionScript 3 (there is no way to use a Pixel Bender filter with the Flash GUI -- you do need code), but the code isn't that hard. And once you see the payoff -- the amazing visual effects you can start using in your Flash work -- you'll want to get started right away.

This course is extracted from the larger course, Practical ActionScript 3 - Update.

Who is this course for?
This course is aimed for any student looking to get up to speed with using Pixel Bender filters, with ActionScript 3 in Flash Player 10. The course includes sample files to illustrate code that will work in Flash CS4 and CS5.
