The Rich Media Institute was founded in 2005 to educate designers, developers and marketers in the rich media industry about the capabilities, software tools, best practices and technologies for the professional creation of digital media.

We work with some of the top expert instructors in the world to offer specialized training, online and at our facilities in Los Angeles, as well as in other cities around the world. We strive to offer unique, high-quality content, in a convenient, affordable, and high-quality experience.

The RMI was founded by industry leading expert R Blank and his business partner, Markus Almer, President of Almer/Blank. The RMI trains developers and designers at the LA Flash Factory in Venice.

Our training center is a hub of the Los Angeles interactive industry, hosting several user groups and community events, including LA Flash, Adobe, the International Documentary Association, LA Drupal, and the Los Angeles Interaction Design Assocation (IxDA).
